The Quilting ladies have several denim quilts on display in the narthex. They are asking $40. The money they make from selling their quilts goes into buying supplies to make more which they give to the less fortunate people in the city and area. 

Sept 20: We are looking for volunteers to serve at The Salvation Army Community Meal from 4-7pm. Sign-up sheet on the white board or call Val at 741-3515.

The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help at the Food Bank. They are very busy!  You can work as much or as little and pick your own hours. Call 306-778-0515

Also, it has been a while since we have taken up a collection for the Food Bank, and their need is great, so for the next 2 Sundays, bring your non-perishable items and put them in the bin.

Plants for sale in the narthex, $5.00. Anita Penner from the Meadows has been working hard to raise money for the Access Van. Many people living in the Meadows don't have the means to travel outside of City Bus Hours. So The Meadows Auxiliary have set up a committee to raise awareness and funds to buy a van for this purpose.

Job Opportunity

St. Olaf Lutheran is looking for a caretaker starting September 1. There are copies of the expectations at the back of the church. If interested, please contact the Church office immediately, OR contact Cam Laing (306) 774-3257 or Michelle Steinley (306) 741-8854. We do have an interested individual, but if you are interested, please let us know.

Council has reduced the caretaking from daily to weekly. The Caretaker will no longer be expected or required to clean and secure the building daily. Our members will have to take on some additional responsibility for securing the building and removing garbage or minor housekeeping after large events. We can all work together to keep our building in great shape!

We have been asked by Swift Link and the Family Resource Center to provide 1 meal in July for 30 vulnerable families. Michelle has found a group to prepare the meal, but we need muffins. Please sign up so we can send muffins with each family as well. We need 15 dozen. You can sign up in the back. Just bring the muffins to church and put in the chest freezer by July 9.  Call or text Michelle if you have any questions (306) 741-8854.

The Clearwater Lake Picnic in the Park will be on July 9 at 11:00 It will be a Hymn SingThere will be cold treats after the  service. Bring your lawn chairs! Lots of shade. 

On June 24th, Bob & Arlie delivered boxes of hymn books, bibles & devotional booklets to Dwight & Ruth Quiring in Regina who volunteer for the Christian Salvage Mission (CSM).  These folks sort through and repack boxes to be trucked, free of charge, by Bison Transport to Hamilton, Ontario.  From there, these boxes are shipped by boat to where-ever they are most needed.  The Quirings expressed their deep appreciation for the generous donation from St. Olaf congregation.  If you would like to know more about CSM, there is a newsletter in the Narthex that tells you who they are and what they do.  Thank you to everyone for spreading God's word in this way!!
